Cashew rises on firm demand
Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the wholesale dry fruits market today supported by firm demand.
In addition, tight supplies from growing regions influenced the prices.
Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 5 to conclude at Rs 625-635, Rs 580-585, Rs 515-520 and Rs 445-465 per kg, respectively.
Market analysts said fresh buying by retailers and stockists to meet domestic demand against tight supplies mainly pushed up cashew prices.
