Cashew kernel down on subdued demand
New Delhi, Jan 9 (PTI) Cashew kernel prices fell by up to Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists against sufficient stock position.
Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240 and 320) prices declined by up to Rs 10 to Rs 650-670, Rs 590-610, Rs 545-585 and Rs 515-555 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against increased arrivals from producing belts mainly pulled down cashew kernel prices on the wholesale dry fruit market.
The following are today''s quotations (per 40 kg):
Almond (California) Rs 11,100 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 6,000-6,200; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 3,200-3,300; Abjosh Afghani Rs 7,000-16,000.
Almond Kernel (California) Rs 390-400 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 370-400 per kg.
