  • cashewnews_061Cashew prices fell by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today largely on the back of subdued demand from retailers and stockists.

Sufficient stocks position following increased arrivals from producing belts also weighed on the cashew prices.

Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240 and 230) prices fell by Rs 10 each to settle at Rs 680-710, Rs 650-660, Rs 570-590 and Rs 500-540 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said fall in demand from retailers and stockists at prevailing levels against adequate stocks mainly led to the fall in cashew kernel prices in the wholesale dry fruit market here.

The following are today's quotations (per 40 kg): Almond (California) Rs 12,300 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 7,000-8,000; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 3,100-3,400; Abjosh Afghani Rs 7,000-18,000.

Almond Kernel (California) Rs 420-440 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 350-420 per kg.
