Cashew rises on firm demand
Supported by firm demand, cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the wholesale dry fruits market today.
In addition, tight supplies from growing regions also influenced the prices.
Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 5 to conclude at Rs 620-630 Rs 580-585, Rs 515-520 and Rs 435-455 per kg, respectively.
Market analysts said fresh buying by retailers and stockists to meet domestic demand against tight supplies, mainly pushed up cashew prices.
