Cashew rises on fresh buying support
New Delhi, Mar 25 (PTI) Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today largely on pick up in buying activity on firm domestic demand amid low stocks.
Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.
Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 5 to settle at Rs 620-630 Rs 585-590, Rs 520-525 and Rs 435-450 per kg, respectively.
Market analysts said increased buying by retailers and stockists, owing to domestic demand against low stocks mainly pushed up cashew prices.
Following are today''s quotations in Rs per 40 kg:
Almond (California) Rs 10,000 Almond (gurbandi-new) Rs 4,800-4,900 almond (girdhi) Rs 2,650-2,700 and Abjosh Afghani Rs 7,000-20,000.
Almond kernel in per kg (California) Rs 350-360, almond kernel (gurbandi-new) (kg) Rs 300-370.
