Cashew down on sluggish demand
New Delhi, Feb 28 (PTI) Cashew prices declined by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today owing to the fall in demand from retailers and stockists at existing higher levels.
Adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from producing belts also weighed on cashew prices.
Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240, and 320) prices fell by Rs five each to settle at Rs 640-650, Rs 595-605, Rs 530-540, and Rs 445-465 per kg, respectively.
Market analysts said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks, mainly led to the decline in cashew kernel prices at the wholesale dry fruit market here.
